1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser when you visit it. It lets the site remember things from one page to the next, like the products you have put in your cart or the language you have chosen. The same name covers other similar technologies, such as pixels and scripts, which also read or store information on your device.
This shop runs on Shopify, and almost all the cookies you will find here are set by Shopify so that the shop and the checkout work.
2. What cookies this shop uses
Shopify groups cookies into four categories, and they are the same ones you will see in the banner when you arrive.
Necessary. These make the shop work. They hold your cart, keep your session, allow you to complete checkout, and remember the choice you make about cookies themselves. Without them the shop cannot be used, so they do not require your consent.
Preferences. These remember choices of yours, such as the language you want to see the shop in.
Analytics. These tell us how many people visit the shop, which pages they see and where they arrive from. The data is handled in aggregate, to understand whether the shop works and makes sense.
Marketing. These remember what you have looked at in the shop and connect it to your profile if you have subscribed to our emails. They are what makes what we send you relate to what interests you, and what stops us writing to you about something you have already bought. The main cookie in this category is __kla_id, from Klaviyo, the tool we use to manage our email.
Analytics and marketing cookies are only set if you accept them.
3. Who sets these cookies
Shopify, the platform this shop runs on. You can see the full list, with the name of each cookie, its purpose and how long it lasts, on their cookie page:
www.shopify.com/legal/cookies
Klaviyo, the tool we use to manage our email. It sets the cookie __kla_id, which lasts up to two years depending on the browser and is only set if you accept marketing cookies. You can read their policy at www.klaviyo.com/legal/privacy
We prefer to link to these lists rather than copy them here, because they are the ones who update them, and this way you always see the current version.
4. How to change your choice
The first time you arrive you will see a banner where you can accept or reject the cookies that are not necessary. You can change your mind whenever you like from the Cookie settings link in the footer of the shop.
Withdrawing your consent does not affect anything processed before you withdrew it, and it does not stop you shopping as normal.
5. Browser settings
You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Each browser is set up separately, and on each device you use.
Chrome: Settings, Privacy and security, Cookies and other site data.
Safari: Settings, Privacy, Manage Website Data.
Firefox: Settings, Privacy and Security, Cookies and Site Data.
Edge: Settings, Cookies and site permissions.
Bear in mind that if you block the necessary cookies, the cart and the checkout will stop working.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie policy when the cookies we use change or for legal reasons. We will publish the updated version on this same page and change the "Last updated" date.
